Mother Goose Olympics
At the end of September, Jessica's Kindergarten class studied Nursery rhymes. They ended the week with Mother Goose Olympics. They kids went to about 12 different stations for 4-5 minutes each place. They played different games and activities that related to a nursery rhyme. At my station, we did Hey Diddle Diddle. They jumped on a cat playing a fiddle and yelled HEY DIDDLE DIDDLE. Then they jumped over the moon and onto the dog. They laughed and spun in a circle before running to pick up a spoon and a dish and running back to their team for the next person to go. They loved it.

The parachute was "pop goes the weezle" (spelling?).

This one they had to suck a marshmallow to the bottom of a straw and then blow the marshmallow off the straw at something ... not sure what activity it was.
They also jumped over candlesticks (Jack be nimble) and lots of other activities. Such a fun day. I am so glad to be room mom and be able to be home during the day to be there with my kids on fun ocassions like this. I'm also grateful for such a fun teacher!
