Simple things

I love simple things in life that make me happy.

Recently, I had lunch with a friend. Not someone I've known a LONG time, not someone I'm EXTREMELY close to, just a friend that I'm getting to know and truly starting to love. It was nice. She knew I was having a hard time so just on a whim she invited me over for lunch the next day. We had simple sandwiches and just talked. It was simple and great.

I also recently had a craft day with another friend. This is a friend I've known for over 16 years but not someone I get to see a ton. I had a ton to do, but I had committed to going to her house (I knew she was buying supplies for me) so I went and was very glad I did. Again, it was simple, just her and some of her friends hanging out doing a craft around her kitchen table and it was great!

Very grateful for the simple things that make me smile and for the friends and family who share those simple joys with me.
