End of School!

Well, the end of school draws close! Tay's last day in preschool was today. Here she is in her graduation cap! They did a cute little program - sang a bunch of songs for us and she actually sang them all and didn't just stand there and act shy. SO PROUD of her progress this year!

She has progressed so much. We got her most recent IEPs last week (Individulized Education Plan - a goal/progress report for students with special needs). Taylor has now been released from the social delays section so all that is left is her speech delays! She is in the 85 percentile for cognitive skills and although still somewhat shy, on-track for her age socially. Speech is still down about 16 percentile though so we will continue speech in the fall 2x a week for 20 minutes - they will just pull her out of kindergarten for that time. I was disappointed that she is still that low but relieved to see the progress in social and cognitive! Thank you to an awesome preschool teacher this year!

Today was also Alyssa's dance festival. They danced to "What Time is It?" from High School Musical 2. Alyssa thought it was the perfect song and really loved her dance. She practiced it at home A LOT! We didn't get great pictures because we couldn't find where she was standing but here is one of her after!

Alyssa is finishing 2nd grade! Her last day is Friday. She is one smart kid. She gets almost perfect scores on everything she does. She LOVES to write stories and writes some amazing stories. She really enjoyed her research proejct on Egypt this past month. She spells really well on spelling tests but sometimes her imagination gets ahead of her writing when she is doing stories and she forgets to slow down with her spelling and handwriting! She's a great kid though even when she and I are butting heads because we are too much alike - stubborn!
Jessica is quite the little cheeseball. She loves pictures. She also loves BYU and her daddy's drums!

Isn't she cute?!! She and Taylor both really "rock" out when they get a chance. Jessica also loves to dance and can't wait to take dance like her big sisters in the fall. She will also go to preschool which she is really excited about!

Overall, I love my girls!! No matter what, I love them. Tonight I got a chance to snuggle and read with each one of them. Most nights I don't get to do it with all 3. Here's a picture from a couple of weeks ago in one of their Easter dresses! Aren't they great (the dresses too)?

Congratulations to Taylor! I can only hope that we see the same type of progress in Owen. She is my inspiration. Ella loves Alyssa's dance show shirt (she is watching over my shoulder right now). Jessica is such a doll behind those drums. So glad that our kids are friends - and that we are, too!

Your girls are such dolls. It was so good to see you the other day. Zoƫ and Kari now talk about them like they have always known each other. We will have to get together again soon.
