Long time ...

Its been awhile, but I'm not abandoning my blog permanently, just been crazy busy lately. What have we been up to:

The first part of the month was spent frantically getting ready for my trip. I was gone for 2 weeks - Las Vegas and then San Diego. First, Steve and I drove to Vegas to setup and work a booth at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) for audioShare - HUGE! Then we headed to San Diego for a Vendor booth for my biz at Mary Kay's annual Leadership Convention. We set up on one afternoon and then I worked 7 more days after that. Steve came home for Mon-Fri of that week to play "Mr Dad". Then he flew back down to help me take down and then drive home.

Rachel Perry flew down to help me Mon-Fri. Was so nice to have the extra help and someone to hang out with at night while Steve was gone. I think we watched a record number of Lost episodes though. Almost all of Season 2 in 4 evenings. I don't REALLY look old enough to be her mom, do I? Don't answer that until you know she is actually 20!! So many people asked if she was my daughter ... but she's gorgeous and smart so I'd claim her. :)

We didn't get to go outside much during the day, but on Thurs of our show, we had a 2 hour lunch break and it was BEAUTIFUL! We walked to the SeaPort Village for lunch and then just sat on the deck of the convention center and enjoyed the sun. It is such a beautiful view (especially compared to the inversion that we had when I left home).

The view from the deck of the convention center where we had our booth. This was about 100 steps from where we spent 8 hours a day (unfortunately, we were inside and didn't see it much).

This is me with one of my clients ... long time client and friend Tammy Crayk. She is from Utah and I've known her about 13 years now. Isn't my booth backdrop cool - THANKS TOSHA!

The show was a long week for me (lots of standing and talking to lots of people), but very beneficial. I've added 18 clients officially and have 3 or 4 more that I'm playing phone tag with. I have about 85 clients now which is so exciting for me. We really could use the extra income right now. Really hoping to get to 90 before the month ends!! Then we spent one day playing and then drove all the way home the next. Sure missed the girls!! They were super glad to find us home when they woke up (we had told them we weren't coming home until that afternoon).

This is me at the radio controls of the USS Midway. We spent our day off touring it - we spent about 4 hours on it. Its AMAZINGLY HUGE and really a cool piece of history.

Steve called it "geeking out" but it was fun for both of us. History is fun when it comes to life through artifacts and stories about people and seeing part of it first hand.

Update on the job front - I3 (the company Steve worked for) has officially closed. They lost their funding back in September and that's when he technically "lost his job" and paycheck. But we hoped they'd find new funding/get bought out and all get back pay as they continued to work for most of the last 3 months while they searched for other jobs. i3 was really close to a buyout that we felt was really going to happen ... but that deal has officially fallen through. He packed up most of his office today. He is now REALLY on the job market. He is searching for executive level jobs (CTO, VP, director) in technology, engineering, research and devlopment etc areas.

I'll get back into digi-scrapbooking and posting pics and things on my blog soon. I really miss it. I need that time for me, but for tonight, I just wanted to let you all know where things stand, where we've been and say thanks for all the prayers, thoughts and support. I am so grateful for my friends and family!

You are still in our prayers. Maybe now he can focus more on job hunting instead of trying to do both he will find his new job. I am glad to hear your company is doing so well:)
