Update from us...

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. I've been trying to catch up on life since we got home from our Disney Trip. Disney was amazing, and I have several more posts to make about that (but probably not tonight). Our last day in Florida it was 84 degrees. When we got home about 5pm it was in the low teens ... BRRRR!! The next morning when I drove Jessica to preschool it was a big bad 8 degrees and it didn't get a whole lot warmer that day. I'm still trying to get warm!!

Our trip was exactly what we needed. We just 100% walked away from the stress. We let the Magic of Disney just overcome us. It was as if the "real" world didn't exist. It was relaxing and fun and our girls LOVED it. We enjoyed the time with the girls and with my brother's family. I am so grateful we get to share such fun memories with them. We rented a condo at the beach in NC 2 1/2 yers ago. Where to next? Hmmmm...

Coming home from our trip was tough. The real world was not so kind. We felt very optimistic when we left that by the time we got home there would be news on the job front. 10 days ... something!! Unfortunately, there was not and there is still not much new. We landed about 5pm and Steve flew out at 6:20 that night to California for a meeting with the Hollywood contacts that are interested in I3. The meetings went well, but nothing there yet.

At this time of year, I wish I could do and give so much more to others. Its one of the hardest things for me this year. I find myself so much more emotional ... I'm always a cryer, but lately it seems like the silliest little things trigger the floodgates. If you notice me crying, no worries, its probably just that someone smiled or did something kind like waving at me. Really, it doesn't take much to make me cry lately. But I brought this up because I am also so touched by things others do. In my entire life, I do not remember being on the giving end in a "need" situation at Christmas. We have had times when others helped us, many, many, many times, but we have never been in need at Christmas. And I am so grateful for all the kind loving people around us, who give their time, their love, their talent, their prayers and their many other gifts. Thank you for being so Christlike and loving and serving others.

I wish you all a truly Merry Christmas. And may we all cherish the true meaning of Christmas, the celebration of our Savior Jesus Christ's birth!
