Happy Easter Everyone!

Just wanting to wish you all a Happy Easter. May we all remember the reason we celebrate. Easter means a lot to me and each year, I think it means a little more than the previous year. I know it does this year.

This is my very favorite hymn and I want to share it with you.

I Know that My Redeemer Lives -

I know that my Redeemer lives, What comfort this sweet sentence gives! He lives, he lives who once was dead. He lives, my ever living Head. He lives, to bless me with his love. He lives to plead for me above. He lives my hungry soul to feed. He lives to bless in time of need.

He lives to grant me rich supply. He lives to guide me with his eye. He lives to comfort me when faint. He lives to hear my soul's complaint. He lives to silence all my fears. He lives to wipe away my tears. He lives to calm my troubled heart. He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise Heavenly Friend. He lives and loves me to the end. He lives, and while he lives, I'll sing. He lives, my prophet, priest and King. He lives and grants me daily breath. He lives, and I shall conquer death. He lives my mainsion to prepare. He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives! All glory to his name! He lives, my Savior, still the same. Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives: "I know that my Redeemer lives!" He lives! All glory to his name! He lives, my Savior, still the same. Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives: "I know that my Redeemer lives!"

I love this picture of Christ. Thanks Elisa for using it on your blog! I love this image of him. I don't focus my thoughts on Jesus on the cross at Easter, I think of him like this, risen and glorious. I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice for me. I am grateful he suffered for my sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. I am grateful he was crucified and died for me. I am even more grateful that after three days, he arose and was resurrected to live again. I am grateful for his love for me. And I am so grateful that he paid the price for my mistakes, that he atoned for me, so that I can be forgiven even in my worst moments of weakness. And I truly know that we can be forgiven because of his sacrifice. I have felt that forgiveness and love. I am so grateful that someday I will be able to live with him and my Father in Heaven again and that I might have eternal life and be with my family forever!

Happy Easter to all of you!!
