No, stop, stop, stop! I'm not ready for winter and Christmas! Its October 12th! So, why did I get woken up this morning to two little girls yelling, "its snowing, its snowing!"? WHY? Because we had one of our crazy pre-winter storms last night and this morning and got about 3" in our front yard. This is what we saw in our back and front yard at 9:00 am this morning.
We're ready! Can we go out now?

Jessica's snow angel ... love the cute shoes! They all outgrew and/or wore out their snow boots last year in our wonderfully LONG and INTENSE winter, so we had to scramble today for shoes that would cover their toes. Jessica is actually wearing a pair of shoes I bought for Taylor and they are too big for her, but hey, it was better than her flip flips! Guess that's on the must-buy list ... winter shoes!

Alyssa made the middle part of the snowman.

Jessica loved how the snow stuck to her gloves and she liked eating it too.

Steve made the big part of the snowman ... the snow was perfect. He just rolled the ball around and as you can tell in the background, it all stuck to the ball - leaving green grass behind.

Yummmmm... tastes good! Wait ... is that Taylor? Again, putting something in her mouth and liking it . .. but its not really food! Arghhh ... wish that kid would eat something of value. She actually did make the head of the snow-witch though, almost by herself.

Notice the eyes (pumpkins), nose (a ghord - is that how its spelt?), the teeth are wood chips from the flower bed and the hat witch! Oh, and the broom, that she is riding on and her branch arms! Taylor wanted to sit on the broom with the witch, but we figured that would be the end of her!

I loved this picture of Alyssa. She was making a snowball to throw at Steve but took just a quick second to peak out from under her hood at me when I wanted a picture. If you look closely, you can see her one eye looking out at the camera.

The snow is all gone now, and we're expecting cold for a few days, but actually 70 by Thurs or Friday. So, the fall will remain for a little longer, but if this is any indication of the winter to come, its going to be a long, cold, and white winter again!

Not a spec of snow down here! THANK GOODNESS! I am not ready to break out the snow clothes yet.
