Easter is busy for us ... after our own Easter, we went to Spanish Fork to Karen's house for lunch and an egghunt. Then we dashed back up to Cedar Hills to my parents' house for dinner and another egghunt. My mom does her egghunt a little differently. The eggs for each child are a specific color - Taylor was pink, Jessica was purple and Alyssa was yellow (my niece and nephews had their own color too). So if you see an egg that isn't your color, you just leave it and hunt your own. Everyone has the same number of eggs and that way the older kids eggs can be hidden harder and the little kids easier. Its perfect and the kids love it. They (as well as the adults) often help each other by calling out, "I see a pink egg" or whatever color it is. They love this hunt!

No, my mom doesn't normally wear big pink flowers in her hair and an apron ... the apron was because she had just come out of the kitchen, and the flower belongs to my girls. It had been left at her house a couple days before and she had put it in her hair so she wouldn't forget to give it to me.

This year my mom also put together a little scripture egghunt. Each egg had a scripture in it. When the kids read the scripture, it contained a word that led them to the next egg until they finally ended up finding their baskets.
It was lots of fun for the older kids but the little ones soon got distracted. The little ones stopped to play with the dancing and singing bunny and eat candy instead. I wish I could get a video to upload but it is too big or something. I have the cutest little video or Jessica singing with the bunny. Here comes Peter Cotton Tail, hopping down the bunny trail ... the whole song. She LOVES to sing! The bunny also hops up and down and so does Jess!
The little girls only got interested again at the end when the big kids were headed to the final location of the baskets ... yep, hidden under the tarp on top of the wood pile.
This year, all the girls got matching dresses, including my niece, Meghan who is 14 1/2. My girls were SO excited to wear their fairy dresses that matched Meghan! Here are a few shots of them all dressed up posing. Taylor started the ballerina posing, so we had to take a few pictures of that too! Funny thing is, she wouldn't do a ballerina pose by herself, so I don't have one of her!
My nephews got these little remote controlled arachni-robots in their baskets. Jessica and Taylor LOVED them. They created a maze from all the shows in the entryway and drove the little robots through the maze. The dancing & singing rabbit got to watch!
