For Spring Break, we headed on a road trip - the first real road trip we've done with the girls. We left on Tuesday evening and headed to Page, AZ. Wednesday morning we drove into the Grand Canyon, a first for me and the girls. On our way there, we say dinosaur tracks ... although it was pretty windy so Tay and Jess weren't very interested. Alyssa enjoyed seeing them and bought some petrified wood, an arrowhead and what we think is dinosaur poop ... yep...
When we arrived, it was a little cold, windy and overcast. We did get a few clear glances at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, but mostly it was quick glance at the low hanging clouds, avoid the snow, and get the crying, freezing little two back to the car. Still fun, but not the greatest day for being outdoors.
Our first stop was at this tower overlook. It was actually the clearest spot we saw all day. While Taylor and Jessica stayed with me inside the warmth, Steve and Alyssa went for a little hike. The girls and I are in the 3rd window of the tower.

When you look at this view, you don't notice the two specs on the edge of the cliff ... but when you look at the next picture, you can see its actually Steve and Alyssa.

The little girls loved the little window that they could see out! Notice the jeans, hoodies and coats over the top - yep, they were still cold! : )
