On Friday night before Easter, Alyssa stayed over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. While she was there with just them, she created "Spring" (a display of items relating to spring) in my parents' spare bedroom. This was ALL her own doing. No help. No prodding. Nothing. Just 100% out of Alyssa's mind. She made a sign and everything for the door. We even needed to sign the "Comments or Questions" papers she had set out for us.
On Easter, we were all invited (ok, more like demanded) to go down and look at her "Spring". She told us all about why things related to spring ... fruit trees begin to blossom in spring (thus the fruit). Flowers bloom in spring (she moved every decorative plant in my mom's house into the room). Bunnies have babies in spring and come out of their homes (stuffed bunny). Bears stop hibernating in spring (stuffed bear was tucked in on the bed). ... It was quite a dramatic little performance and she was definitely creative in the things she said and used to create "Spring". Way to go Alyssa! Keep that imagination going and keep working on those stories. So, enjoy a little bit of Spring brought to you by Alyssa!
