Kindergarten Field Day

I'm determined to get caught up!!

At the end of the school year, the kids have a field day. Because Kindergarten kids are so much smaller and because they aren't there all day, they do their field day separately. It was on May 22nd. The theme was BUGS so all the stations were games geared around bugs in some way. At my station they had to scoop slimy plastic bugs out of a bucket of water with a spoon and carry them to the other end and put them in another bucket. Other stations had kids digging in rice buckets for bugs, kids doing relays like bugs (hopping like a grasshopper, crawling like an ant, squirming like a worm etc), blowing bubbles, pin the spots on the lady bug, earthworm tunnel crawl, butterfly catching (paper butterflies - I think they came from a game that blows them out), carrying beans (bugs) on a spoon, etc. The day ended with a popscicle. It was really fun!
A crab walk but I don't remember which bug this was supposed to be like.

The boy beside Taylor is Presley. He is one of the boys Tay wants to invite to her birthday party.

Michelle Taylor ran this station - bugs in rice that the kids had to dig out with tweezers and then put in their bug catcher boxes.
This next 2 pics are from the cutest game - the kids are all bugs. One kid has a squirt bottle. If the kids get sprayed with the water, they have to play like a dead bug until they get carried to the towel which was a "safe" place where they came back to life. CUTE! Ms Susee (Jessica's preschool teacher) ran this station. She also has a daughter in Taylor's kindergarten class.

Bubble time!
Ella, Makenna and Taylor enjoying their popscicles and trying to find some shade under the tree!
