The current challenge is #27 , to scrapbook a theme song. Some "theme" songs are songs with a specific someone, some are songs that keep us going, some are songs that calm us down, some are songs that get us excited, but we've all got them ... "theme songs." I had several songs come to mind from my life, but the one I could visualize as a scrapbook page immediately is one that helped me make it through some tough times as a teenager when I first moved to NC. You may think its a little cheesy, but I still feel some comfort when I hear the song.
Somewhere out there beneath the pale moonlight,
Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight
Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer,
Somewhere out there someone's saying a prayer,
That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are,
And even though I know how very far apart we are,
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby,
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby,
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there if love can see us through,
Somewhere out there if love can see us through,
Then we'll be together somewhere out there, Out where dreams come true.
The journaling over the sky of the beach picture says: When I was 12, my family moved from California to North Carolina. I was devastated to leave my friends and the home I'd always known. "Somewhere Out There" became one of my favorite songs. It reminded me that even though we weren't close together my friends were still there and hopefully, they were missing me just like I was missing them. I'd often listen to the song or sing it so myself when I felt alone and write letters to them or look at pictures from "home".
