So, I started saying "flutter, flutter" and chasing her around the house. We raced around the house several times - kitchen to hallway, to front door, dining room, kitchen, living room and around. She would just laugh and giggle every time I'd catch her. Then I'd relax a minute and she'd take off again, giggling the entire time. It was just one of those spontaneous moments of fun with my little girl. Then I remembered a book we have called "Watch me". I got it out and read it to her and we did all the actions of the different animals. One of the lines is: "The butterfly can flutter all around. Flutter, flutter, flutter, flutter. Watch me flutter all around. Flutter, flutter, flutter, flutter." Sometimes I wish I had a camera that could just follow me around and take pictures when I tell it to. I wish I had pictures of this little moment with Jessica, but this blog note will have to serve as my reminder of it instead.
Once again, the little moments that make us smile! When I stop and take time for them, it makes me worry less, stress less, be grumpy less and helps me be more grateful for every moment I have with my children. I feel blessed to have such beautiful, happy, healthy little girls. They truly bring me joy!
