Its Official! The lights are on beginning today, Friday November 27th!
They will be on from 6pm-11pm nightly until New Years Eve!
We did have a family preview on Thanksgiving- 5 cars all parked across the street watching the lights (3 of us backed into the driveway of the house across the street - thanks Dawn & Ron!) But when the 5 songs ended, it went dark. A car pulled up JUST as Steve turned them off. I could just imagine them sitting there in their car wondering what happened. :) SORRY! Hope you all enjoy them. As always, Steve has worked hard to get all the lights up, working and looking good dancing to the music. We know that there are a few lights burned out ... including half of one of our bows. But money is kind of tight right now so we haven't fixed them.
Oh, and just so you know, each song takes Steve anywhere from 4-12 hours to program them (depending on if he starts from scratch or from a downloaded file. He "tells" every light (all 64 sets of light) when to turn on, how long to stay on, how bright to be and what effects to use (flicker, flash, dim in, dim out, etc). Steve is working hard tonight to program a new one. So, there should be 6 songs by the time we leave for DisneyWorld. If anyone stops by and notices they didn't come on, please text me or Steve! My assistant will be in and out of the house while we are gone and she knows how to reset them, if needed.
And for those of you out-of-town, I HOPE to get a good video of the light shows and put here on my blog. But we'll see how it turns out.
